In the 1970s and 1980s, Elaine was a vital, indispensable participant helping out behind the scenes while her children grew up playing sports. She was there to pitch in for youth basketball and softball, as well as the booster club in later years. “She was always there,” recalled Hall of Famer Linda “Zeke” Ghareeb. “She would run the concession, watch my kids if I had to coach. She was our go-to girl for many years. If you needed something, Elaine would take care of it.”
