DiPrizio’s has supported Farmington sports since 1955 when Sonny DiPrizio opened up the garage, selling and servicing International vehicles, changing to the current GMC line in 1983. Along with the lumber business, DiPrizio’s remained a co-supporter until the lumber company’s sale in 1993. A fourth-generation business, three generations work there today — Sonny, his sons, Tim and Ed, and Tim’s son, Jake. The Middleton business has supported and sponsored youth basketball, baseball and golf in Farmington for 60-plus years and Sonny helped for a time to get a Farmington 500 bus on the road in the 1970s. It transported teams to away games, including the high school ski and swim clubs. “The coaches and the parents are the ones doing the day to day stuff,” Sonny said. “They’re the ones doing the hard work. We’re just happy to support them.”
