Craig and Kathy Lancey, the owners of R W Real Estate, have long been supporters of youth sports in Farmington – almost 30 years. They got their start in 1993 when the two teamed up to coach their son Matthew’s Farmington 500 T-Ball team. Their company also became a sponsor that year. Over the years, R W Real Estate has not only sponsored baseball, but also volleyball, softball and basketball.

The Lanceys helped coach youth baseball teams for eight years and also enjoyed a short tenure coaching soccer. Kathy coached softball with her sister for five years. With her sister, Kathy also coached volleyball during the first year it was a sport under the 500 umbrella.

The Lanceys were volunteers with the sign sponsor program. They were a sponsor and also ran the fundraising program for approximately 25 years, recently passing on that responsibility to another volunteer.

 “We both were on other volunteer committees through the years and enjoyed our time with the other volunteers,” Kathy said. “We appreciate that Matt was able to be a large part of it during his childhood. Memories we hear of him reference to this day.”

The Lanceys are now spending their free time with their family and, of course, selling real estate.
