Bill was a classic example of someone who went through the 500 Club youth program and then returned to give back, which he did with gusto. A 1983 Farmington High School graduate, he remembers first going to 500 youth basketball at age 6 with Hall of Famers Danny Reynolds (his brother in law) and Paul Moulton. Too young to play, Moulton would occasionally sneak Bill into games when they were short of players. Bill went through the program as a player, later playing in junior high and high school. As he entered into his teen years he started volunteering with the 500 basketball program. Early on he did some substitute coaching and refereeing. He became more committed once he hit his 20s, spending nearly 20 years as a coach and referee, and then running the program when Moulton retired. Bill was involved with the 500 in some fashion from 1971 to 2004 when he moved to Lee with his wife Corinne. They live there still with their children -- William, Ethan and Courtney. Bill attended NHTI and the University of New Hampshire. He currently works for Extreme Networks as a Director of Engineering. “I never volunteered to gain recognition,” Bill said. “For me it was all about the kids as I remember how much I looked forward to the 500 growing up.”
