When you talk about the best basketball player ever to play for Farmington High School, the discussion starts and ends with Tim Lee. A four-year standout for the Tigers, Tim is the lone player in program history (boys or girls) to score over 2,000 points -- 2,146. He did so from 1994 to 1998, leading Farmington to four straight Class M Tournament appearances, including the semis in 1998. He was a four-time All-State pick and twice was honored as a first-team selection while playing for his dad, Hall of Famer Mike Lee. Tim is one of a handful of Tiger players to be picked to play in the Alhambra Game, the annual summer classic pitting New Hampshire’s best seniors against those from Vermont.  A well-rounded player, Tim also had 367 assists, 605 rebounds and 255 steals for the Tigers in 85 career games. As a senior, he averaged 27.6 points, 4.8 assists and 7.8 rebounds per game. “The game came naturally (to him),” said coach Lee. “A fierce competitor, willing to put the team on his shoulders. He could shoot with the best and knew how to score.” Tim, who was also a pretty good golfer on several Tiger tournament teams, later played hoop at Southern New Hampshire University, graduating with a business degree. A two-time team captain, he scored 1,291 career points in 109 games, while his 301 career 3-pointers remains an SNHU record to this day. The Penmen made the NCAA Tournament his freshman year. Tim has kept his hand in basketball as a coach. He served as an assistant coach with the SNHU men’s hoop program from 2018 to 2020, and last year was the head boys coach at Bow High School. Tim lives in Manchester where he owns and operates 603 Marketing LLC and is a New Hampshire licensed insurance professional.
