Larry, a 1962 graduate of Farmington High School, grew up and spent most of his life in Farmington. He played three sports for the Tigers — soccer, basketball and baseball. He later was a respected Farmington 500 Boys & Girls Club basketball and baseball coach. He coached youth baseball from 1983 to 1990 and youth hoop from 1984 to 1986. He also coached Farmington Babe Ruth baseball from 1991 to 1992 and was a member of the Farmington 500 Commission until 1993. He has three children, Chris, Carrie and Shaun, and five grandchildren. He worked for over 25 years as a machinist (thread grinder) at Jarvis Cutting Tools in Rochester. Larry lives in Bow, near his son, Shaun, and enjoys watching his grandchildren play baseball, football and basketball.
